Hello! I am Sean Doud and I’m about to begin a new chapter in my life for the next year, Professional Student. I’m so close to finishing and I can graduate by May 2016. Check out my Business Card.
For this Assignment, I used word and added a table, with a gray background. I found the image on google and thought what better than a light bulb to show ideas. I am, after all, now a professional student.
I am a fan of the Motivational Posters. Refreshing is my favorite, whatever your beverage choice is….as long as it’s nice and cool, as well as refreshing…it’s going to be GOOD! I find myself relaxing more when I have a cool beverage in my hand. It just seems to set the mood.
For this poster, I found a picture from our trip to the Richmond Zoo. The pink flamingo is having a nice cool, refreshing drink of water. Water…I guess that’s the flamingo’s favorite…not me. I made the background black so the motivational photo stands out more. The font is set to match the color of the flamingo to draw your attention to their meaning.
Photography & Design is looking for new Branding for their company. They thought it would be great to capture some key words about their company to attract attention. So I thought to myself, who doesn’t love wordle? I was planning on creating my own wordle for this new branding for Illustration Photography & Design, but I found a great one online that was already created for me with exactly the right combination of words!
Once I found the right wordle image, I created an oval in word and used a gradient fill to create the illusion that the wordle is glowing. I then found a complimenting font to display the company name and their logo.

Bring all your memories to life!
I created a 3D Magazine Collage of my favorite hobby…fishing! Everything you see on my fish are necessary for a successful fishing trip! The lures and weights, dock ropes, my boat and fishing poles, GPS, and of course a cooler for all those yummy Rockfish I like to catch! A few years ago I decided I needed to get as many lines in the water at one time as I could, while I troll along the river. Keep in mind that I’m a one man band when it comes to fishing, my kids are still too young and my wife is not a fan! So I began making planer boards, they are designed to be launched from the boat and cover more area away from the side of the boat. Letting me put more lines in the water to potentially catch more fish! Sometimes it’s successful and sometimes it isn’t! That’s fishing!
I began with a piece of cardboard that I cut into the shape of a fish, then I balled up paper to give it a 3D look. With the help of my kids, we tore through the Bass Pro Shops magazine and cut out my favorite images of fishing. Then the fun part began, placing those images all over my fish.
What happened, This Assignment is Suspect! She’s beautiful, she’s drinking a glass of wine and having a great time. She was last seen with the Ghosts of Fredericksburg, pulling away from the tour in her horse drawn buggy. We found a potential weapon next to the sign where she pulled away. I’m not sure if that’s blood or just strawberry jam….we’ll bag it and tag it anyways. 48 hours later, our suspect posted a nice relaxing picture of them lying on the beach enjoying a nice cold beverage. FOUND!
I searched through my wedding photos to find some fun pictures of my wife and our experiences in Fredericksburg, trying to think of an interesting twist to us going away on our honeymoon. I used word to insert the photos, adding connecting lines and text boxes.
